Our Silicon Beach-based client seeks a hands-on, proven business development and monetization professional to own the revenue growth mission. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the VP of Revenue Growth will be responsible for evaluating and developing lasting relationships with games, media, technology and brand partners in order to support the company’s financial and market share objectives.

The ideal candidate for this role will have significant contacts in the games industry as well as experience developing partnership strategies, evaluating potential partners, negotiating multi-year agreements, driving go-to-market activities, and nurturing such relationships. In addition, the candidate should have experience leading projects across departments of an organization, developing processes to drive operational results, and the ability to work in a flexible manner with Sales, Marketing, Product Management and Partnerships teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and own the strategic (1 and 3 year) roadmap(s) that identifies, evaluates and plans, on a step-by-step basis, for the prioritization and execution of new revenue opportunities
  • Drive the company’s business development strategy, including mapping the partner landscape and prioritizing potential partners to reach overall company goals and objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve and strengthen existing partner relationships
  • Lead discussions and negotiate contracts with key partners
  • Determine integration requirements, develop management processes, and measure ongoing success of partnerships
  • Manage the involvement of company resources as required to meet revenue, profitability and market share performance objectives as well as partner expectations

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Must have 8 – 10+ years business development and monetization experience with a proven track record in sales leadership roles
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years sales management and revenue ownership experience
  • Must have 2+ years of strategic business operations experience in the games industry
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing new business and new revenue opportunities, as well as create productive, develop and maintain long-term customer relationships
  • Proven expertise and a deep knowledge of relevant market intelligence and trends, including but not limited to evolving technologies, consumer behaviors, client expectations, shifting competitive landscape, and operational efficiencies is required
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with distinction in driving discussions with senior executives
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams both internally and externally to explain, understand, manage, and implement complex partnerships and projects
  • Dynamic presence, stellar written and presentation skills, and excellent communication and influencing abilities across multiple levels and stakeholder groups
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution or appropriate combination of education and experience is required; MBA / MS preferred
