POSITION SUMMARY
Our client, a major media and entertainment company with global content distribution partnerships, seeks an experienced Manager of Physical Security Operations. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our facilities, assets, and personnel including major players in the entertainment industry. This position requires a hands-on approach to security operations, along with the ability to effectively manage and coordinate outsourced security teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Outsourced Security Team Management:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the outsourced security teams, ensuring alignment with company policies and security protocols
- Provide guidance, training, and support to outsourced security personnel to enhance their effectiveness
Security Operations:
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies and procedures in collaboration with internal stakeholders
- Conduct regular security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend improvements
Incident Response and Crisis Management:
- Lead and coordinate responses to security incidents, working closely with internal and external teams to mitigate risks
- Develop and implement crisis management plans to address potential security threats
Physical Security Measures:
- Evaluate and enhance physical security measures, including access control systems, surveillance, and alarms
- Collaborate with facilities management to ensure a secure and safe working environment
Collaboration with Internal Departments:
- Work closely with various internal departments, such as IT, legal, and HR, to ensure a holistic approach to security
- Participate in cross-functional teams to address security-related concerns and initiatives
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation related to security protocols, incidents, and responses
- Generate regular reports on security metrics, incidents, and trends for senior leadership
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, or a related field; relevant certifications (CPP, PSP, etc.) are a plus
- 7+ years experience in private security management, with a focus on overseeing outsourced security teams
- Previous experience with military operations, VIP protection, and tactical weapons strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of physical security systems, access control, and surveillance technologies
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Hands-on experience in security operations and incident response
