POSITION SUMMARY

This leadership position will be responsible for the strategy and execution of our client’s Licensing and Partnership Programs with a goal of expanding partnerships and driving incremental revenue. The ideal candidate has worked in fast-paced, constantly changing environments and adapts well in ambiguous circumstances. Understanding our client’s brands, the licensing landscape and having a deep network of external contacts in the licensing space is essential for success in this role. You should have a unique understanding of the depth of our content, know a plethora of our many different franchises, and be able to tap into the brand voice.

KEY ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, analyze and build a proactive strategic framework for the barstool brands in its expansion into new business opportunities with the goal of growing the portfolio of partners and driving revenue
  • Evaluation of potential product licensing partnerships and business development
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive in and outbound partnership strategy that aligns with the brand business goals and market opportunities
  • Structuring and negotiation of the business terms with both speed and holistic POV to make sure these opportunities are the right fit for our brand portfolio
  • Create and communicate short/long term business plans to meet and achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets with a focus on sustained profitability
  • Oversee portfolio of licensees across the brands; facilitate all day-to-day communication, contract compliance and account management
  • Negotiate and execute licensing deals with current and new licensees
  • Proactively generate new business ideas and opportunities to grow relationships with current partners
  • Work cross-functionally with other departments joint strategic initiatives
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers across GM structure and executive team
  • Monitor partnership results and performance; produce regular reports and updates to executive leadership
  • Continuously improve processes and practices to increase efficiency and effectiveness

KEY EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ Years of experience in product/brand licensing, business development, operational and negotiation experience.
  • Proven track record of identifying and defining growth opportunities within a business
  • Proven track record of setting and hitting goals
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Experience with licensed consumer products
  • Emotional Intelligence
  • Scrappy and resourceful problem solver with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once
  • Strong analytical capabilities, Excel and PowerPoint proficiency
  • A team player with a “can-do” attitude
  • BA/BS Degree
