POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager, Content Monetization & Business Development will serve as a key resource to the senior executive team for the Content + Ads Business Unit. The role spans across our client’s Music, Studios, and Ads functions and will help to identify, evaluate, and support the operationalization of new business growth opportunities. This role is a unique opportunity to deeply immerse oneself in the content business side of the music, audio, and video streaming industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will identify, structure, negotiate, amend, close and manage strategic deals with local market and regional partners that are relevant to our client’s  growth and vision in North America
  • You will support strategic planning projects and processes by developing multi-year strategic plans to grow the business
  • Identify and develop plans for new business opportunities
  • Build data-driven, scenario-based models to evaluate business impact of all types of strategic and business development initiatives (e.g., new business models, partnerships, etc.)
  • Design succinct and impactful presentations and memos for the Chief Content Officer, Head of Content Business, and other senior Content Business partners
  • Identify and assess key market and competitive trends
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure strategic alignment

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • You have a minimum of 4 years of work experience with a focus on digital content monetization and the creator economy
  • You have at least 2 years’ experience in business development and/or strategic partnerships for or with a digital service company in the North American region
  • You have experience in the tech, media or content-creation industries, preferably in a strategy, business operations or corporate/business development role
  • You are passionate and knowledgeable about the media and entertainment business, preferably the audio business and relevant business models (i.e. advertising, subscription, creator economy, etc.)
  • You are a strategic and creative problem solver with the ability to transform goals into useful plans
  • You have experience supporting strategy projects and developing implementation plans
  • You comfortably maintain balance between attention to detail and swift execution
  • You like getting into the details and solving complex problems
  • You have experience building sophisticated, multi-year business plan models
  • You are an excellent written and verbal communicator
  • You are able to network and develop deep relationships across the organization
