Our client is actively seeking a Vice President of Digital Media to assume control of and grow a decidedly international entertainment category.  Details are as follows:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Vice President, Digital Media will be the brand centric operational manager of commercial strategy and technology convergence, leading the creation of new content and brand related opportunities beyond conventional (linear) content distribution and publishing
  • Managing the overall category product portfolio, content & creative direction
  • Leading the deployment of all product and content solutions to Operating Business units
  • International lead for portfolio of entertainment products and sites, multiplatform and interactive services, and TV channel support strategies.
  • P&L responsibility for category product roadmap, working closely with ad sales and commercial leads to ensure monetization of audience and business growth.
  • Oversees operations and workflow around production of content and products for consumer properties, e.g. websites, mobiles sites, video players, apps, advertising and social media solutions.
  • Works with other departments as well as International councils to ensure that the digital media team meets the changing needs of the business and peer-leads International projects as required.
  • Contributes to defining and driving the overall digital strategy for the International digital media business.
  • Supporting SVP Digital with bespoke commercial content production opportunities, led by Digital Ad Sales
  • Supporting SVP Digital with market intelligence, tactical operational activities
  • Coordination & Communication of all Digital Brand related activity
  • Day to day commercial brand management and technology convergence, creating new content and brand related opportunities beyond conventional content distribution and publishing
  • Working with the on-air and production teams to develop digital content in support of channel programming initiatives, including content for mobile, Global Media Player, and other digital video and non-video platforms and products
  • Ensure that digital requirements are included in TV show development, including getting appropriate rights and clearances, footage, and formats appropriate for the digital platforms.
  • Work with marketing teams to ensure digital properties are correctly promoted and digital platforms are used effectively to drive ratings and build marketing databases.
  • Work with commercial and sales teams on ensuring that business models are created for exploiting digital assets and that advertisement and other partners are catered for and supported
  • Working with stats packages and internal research teams to ensure that all stats are used to improve performance across all digital platforms

KEY REQUIREMENTS and QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 10-15 years of functional experience in Brand or Product Management; MBA preferred
  • Experience with operating in a global matrix organization, influencing through action and insight.
  • Deep understanding of 360 content and brand strategies, optimizing the use of non-linear networks and technologies for both consumer communication and pure monetization purpose
  • Expert on prioritizing projects based on highest potential ROI
  • Strong P&L management
  • Expert knowledge of online and mobile platforms, websites and web development
  • Experience managing the transition of content from television to digital platforms
  • Strong implementation and team management skills
  • Strong operational skills – the ability to attach process and clarity to digital production, in an ever-changing and evolving business
  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and International colleagues
