POSITION SUMMARY

As a User Experience Designer (UXD) for our client in Moline, IL, you will be responsible for creating innovative and intuitive experiences for our worldwide customers, dealers, and employees based on user research insights. As part of the UX design process you will provide interaction and visual design for complex applications through mock-ups and interactive prototypes that communicate the design vision and user journey for a variety of experiences.

KEY ROLE OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Incorporate the company’s branding, common design guidelines, UX/UI standards and conventions into designs.
  • Create mockups and prototypes that capture and communicate business, brand and user requirements
  • Contribute to and drive adoption of the company’s Global IT UX/UI standards, leveraged by IT delivery teams worldwide.
  • Conduct design workshops with a wide range of stakeholders to creatively address complex applications and experiences.
  • Leverage user experience research insights and recommendations to accelerate discussions and decisions early in the product development process.
  • Conduct quality assurance on implemented designs with strong attention to detail
  • Communicate mockups and design language to various groups and levels of management

KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • 2+ years of UI/UX/Interaction Design
  • A portfolio highlighting experience in creating modern and intuitive digital interfaces
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver clean and usable interfaces while applying visual brand guidelines
  • Proficiency with design tools including Adobe CC, Sketch, and Invisionapp
  • Incredible attention to detail and passion for driving quality
  • Experience creating and designing elements or components resulting in high quality user experience designs.
  • Experience incorporating branding and common design guidelines into products
  • Experience creating wireframes, mock-ups, and prototypes
  • Experience maintaining style guides for varying methods of delivery
  • Incredible attention to detail and passion for driving quality
  • Strong communication and presentation skills

WHAT MAKES YOU STAND OUT

Other areas of experience or interest that will help us place you on the right team include:

  • Experience with core web UI development languages including HTML and CSS
  • Experience with JavaScript and common libraries such as jQuery
  • Experience working in a UX role or on a UX team
  • Experience with usability testing and research methodologies such as direct observation interviews, focus groups, and card sorting
  • Experience with responsive design and/or phone and tablet interface design

EDUCATION

Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent work experience in the following:

  • BS/BA Required (Information Technology, Computer Science, Human Computer Interaction, Usability, Graphic Arts, Digital Design, Industrial Design, Marketing, Human Factors)
