INTRODUCTION

Our client, a growing healthcare tech innovator that has recently completed a successful Series B funding round and achieved a valuation of $35 million, is ready to scale and needs a talent acquisition leader to build a best-in-class function to serve the talent needs of the entire organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reporting to the VP of People, establish and own the strategic talent acquisition function across the organization.
  • Improve the company’s organizational capabilities through effective leadership of the Global Talent Acquisition strategy, process and execution.
  • Lead a team of internal talent acquisition partners and external recruiters, as needed, to effectively fill open positions while improving overall talent acquisition and retention metrics.
  • Partner with hiring managers and HR leaders to analyze organizational headcount requirements and formulate creative and effective sourcing and recruiting strategies.
  • Serve as the Global Process Owner for Talent Acquisition, setting the standards for global staffing processes across the organization to drive operational efficiencies and a best-in-class candidate experience.
  • Partner with HRIS to determine and lead the technology strategy for the recruiting platform(s); drive greater efficiencies across the global organization.
  • Partner with C-Suite executives to lead the executive recruitment process. Work closely with executive level recruiting agencies and manage the executive level referral process. Lead the process for executive assessment as part of selection.
  • Provide mentorship, guidance and career development to the global TA team. Coach and recommend process improvements, advanced recruiting approaches, and staffing best practices to increase team effectiveness.
  • Ensure talent acquisition implements diverse sourcing strategies to increase the level of diversity hiring across all levels.
  • Partner with Talent Management teams and HR leaders to implement formalized candidate assessment processes. Manage selection and usage of valid instruments and tools, ensuring alignment with position requirements.
  • Serve as the senior liaison and strategic partner with 3rd party employment, recruiting and advertising agencies.
  • Manage MSP Vendor and Vendor Management System (VMS) to allow governance, visibility and control of our contract labor needs.
  • Create, evaluate, and analyze data and metrics to measure the effectiveness of Global Talent Acquisition. Provide periodic updates to senior management.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for emerging sourcing strategies to increase the speed and efficiency of finding, attracting and hiring top talent. Build these recommendations into a longer-term TA strategy and roadmap.
  • Manage campus outreach, recruiting and early career program processes.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Operations or Management required. Graduate degree preferred.
  • 10+ years Talent Acquisition management experience (corporate and/or agency). Experience working at a fast-growing start-up preferred.
  • Experience with sourcing, recruiting and talent selection in the technology sector preferred.
  • Experience working with global teams; international work experience preferred.
  • Hands on experience with all levels of recruiting and talent acquisition, from individual contributors through executive level recruiting.
  • Experience coaching, developing and growing internal recruiters to exceed their potential.
  • Proven success delivering results.
  • Ability to build collaborate and build mutual trust with HR teams, agencies, candidates and hiring managers.
  • Ability to design and implement effective recruitment/staffing strategies.
  • Knowledge of and experience using cognitive and behavioral based assessment tools in the candidate selection process.
  • Working knowledge of global and local laws and regulations related to recruiting and hiring/experience partnering with local recruiting teams and leveraging this expertise to understand its impact on talent acquisition practices.
  • Experience with social media and technology-based recruiting solutions.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
