Our client, an established online retailer of high-end home goods, is in need of an experienced Sr. Magento / PHP Developer. Reporting directly to the Director of Software Development, you’ll be at the forefront of a growing company with lots of energy, professional camaraderie and personal growth potential.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop custom modules on the Enterprise and Community Editions of Magento
- Configure Magento to work with business intelligence, order management and accounting systems
- Integrate with complex ERPs, tax, shipping, and financial software
- Bug fixing and escalation path for mid level developers when they run into problems.
- Customizing and styling the Magento front end
- Testing, configuring and installing Magento Extensions
- Using custom programming to enhance our sites
- Applying revisions and updates
- Maintaining a rollout strategy and calendar
- Building, modifying and maintaining a development environment
- Testing across mobile devices, operating systems and browsers
- Upgrading Magento installations when necessary
- Work with cross-functional and multidisciplinary teams to accomplish the task at hand
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE / COMPETENCIES
- 3+ years of solid Magento experience on Magento CE and EE
- 5+ years of PHP development experience including OOP
- Strong understanding of OOP patterns and development practices
- In-depth understanding of MYSQL, XHTML, HTML, Java, Javascript, JQuery
- 2+ years of Systems administration experience
- A solid understanding of GIT and code deployment tactics
- Experience with Atlassian products, specifically JIRA
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes
- A strong understanding of browser compatibility, mobile, SEO and eCommerce best practices
- Extreme attention to detail
- Strong verbal and non-verbal skills
- Magento backend certification
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science / Information Technology
