The Senior Email Marketing Manager is responsible for over-seeing the production of triggered and programmatic email communications such as lifecycle messaging, retargeting, triggered, and personalized campaigns. You’ll work closely with graphic design, product development, merchandising and marketing teams to create emails with effective and visually appealing email templates, landing pages and offer mix. You will also work closely with the BI team to utilize analytics and continually test and optimize email performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage strategy and functions of triggered email campaign creation and execution including copy, design, HTML coding, scheduling and analysis
  • Develop and manage customer segmentation and contact strategies in conjunction with Director of Channel Marketing, while overseeing flawless execution of campaigns
  • Develop and refine lifecycle content marketing programs
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing, Operations and Engineering to improve email alert design, business logic, delivery and performance
  • Fully understand and leverage integration opportunities with all digital platforms including social media, mobile apps, and IoT devices
  • Continually develop, measure and optimize campaigns utilizing A|B and multivariate testing
  • Work directly with email and data service providers
  • Maintain timely reporting and documentation of email campaigns
  • Communicate results to key stakeholders and provide / implement improvement recommendations
  • Continually monitor internal testing results and industry best practices as well as compliance around permission-based marketing, privacy and SPAM regulation

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, management, communications or related field
  • 5+ years driving email initiatives at leading retailer, e-commerce company or digital agency
  • Demonstrated success leading email marketing for large consumer bases (10+ million) that have resulted in measurable lifts in customer retention and lifetime value
  • Demonstrated success leading email trigger marketing programs, which have resulted in stronger engagement and outcomes across key performance metrics
  • Extensive experience managing email campaigns and delivery through one of the major email service providers
  • Exceptional project management skills and strong attention to detail
  • Passion for data and metrics
  • Working knowledge of enterprise CRM and marketing automation solutions such as Salesforce, Pardot, Klaviyo, Hubspot, etc.
  • Functional working knowledge of HTML in commercial email
  • Strong understanding of direct-to-consumer business and consumer behaviors
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent organization and time management skills
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
