INTRODUCTION

The Senior Director of Analytics and Capabilities is accountable for setting the vision and deploying the strategy of the Global Supply Chain (GSC) core capabilities of analytics, business process management, data and technology.

The Senior Director will work with a broad cross functional team to deliver the analysis on key supply chain decisions such as network optimize, scenario analysis and portfolio management. This role oversees the statistical and quantitative analysis of core GSC activities and provides explanatory and predictive models to support key supply chain decisions.

The preferred candidate will be a seasoned leader experienced in building and managing high performing teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops the vision and strategy for supply chain analytics in GSC and executes on this plan.
  • Develops and executes the analysis for policy and strategy decisions across the global supply chain for our client’s drug product portfolio at all stages of the product lifecycle and ensures decision have optimal economics, and options assessments.
  • Partners closely with members of the GSC LT to provide analytics support for GSC activities and projects.
  • Develops and maintains the roadmap for process and analytic capabilities progression over time.
  • Develops the vision and owns the execution roadmap for building core supply chain capabilities.
  • Ensures that core business processes are effective and efficient.
  • Works with stakeholder community to monitor and continuously improve.
  • Partners with Finance and Strategic Planning to support budget and capital planning processes and with line management on strategic planning for GSC.
  • Manages the governance of planning master data as well as oversees the quality of all data used in planning.
  • Maintains documentation and publishes metrics to reflect the effectiveness and efficiency of department activities.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

  • 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in a related field, including product management, supply chain management and risk management and a BA or BS degree in Economics or a STEM discipline.
  • An MA/MBA degree preferred.
  • Expert leader with a proven track record of building and managing high performing teams.
  • Experienced people manager with a strong reputation for mentoring and developing people.
  • Expertise and track record in supply chain analytics, planning and oversight.
  • Expertise and proven track record in supply chain strategy and possesses in-depth knowledge of industry and system best practices.
  • Work experience in a regulated industrial setting with a solid knowledge of worldwide regulatory requirements.
  • Able to effectively manage multiple priorities for success.
  • Possesses understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards for Drug Product and Drug Substance manufacturing in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Possesses a solid working knowledge of relevant regulatory guidance, including pharmaceutical GMPs and ICH guidance.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, negotiation and interpersonal skills a given.
  • Sound organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with senior management.
  • Ability to travel internationally, including overnight up to 15% of the time.
