POSITION SUMMARY

Our client is looking for an outstanding business and technical leader for their site operations team to drive data insights across all aspects of retail performance for our business. Additionally, this role requires leadership of 24/7 monitoring of the eCommerce site, automation of tools to identify customer issues, ability to manage, triage, and resolve high priority production issues, converting customer issues into IT and product requests.

This role requires an individual with excellent analytical abilities who strives to answer business questions rather than just producing numbers and who operates independently and works across functional boundaries. We are looking for someone to develop a healthy obsession with understanding our customer and providing services that meet their needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Single Point of Contact for Site (35%) – Proactively identify site related issues and drive for quicker resolutions based on the severity by engaging appropriate teams (Business, Vendor and IT issues). Participate in root cause analysis of high priority issues with Technology, Vendor and Product teams to ensure cross-functional representation. Partner with various business teams to accurately measure business impact for high priority incidents or issues.
  • Lead advanced analytics (25%) – Provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams (Product Management, Merchandising, Finance, Marketing, Technology) and develop cohesive and comprehensive understanding of the key drivers of the business to promote growth and business development.
  • Lead efforts to build a stronger data-driven culture (20%) – Drive growth through innovative strategies and meticulous execution.
  • Drive a culture of continuous testing (10%). Lead efforts to run AB and multivariate experiments.
  • Communication (10%). Communicate to all levels of business, IT and vendor teams.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to write code in Python, R, and/or SQL
  • Experience with visualization tools, such as Tableau or Domo
  • Ability to drive change; build strong relationships with internal customers; and proactively communicate a shared roadmap with stakeholders
  • Able to think both creatively and critically. Willing to think outside the box and challenge the status quo, while also fairly evaluating all possible solutions in making strategic decisions.
  • Able to manage through ambiguous and subjective situations, including balancing operational efficiency and data analysis with high quality standards and a sense of what is “right” for the customer.
  • Able to manage many projects and drive multiple threads of work to completion
  • Analytical and process-oriented, comfortable working with large data sets and making data-driven decisions
  • Strong and effective presentation and communication skills, being comfortable speaking with senior leadership
  • Passionate about the customer with a strong interest in understanding and driving user behavior
  • Ability to work with and lead large groups of associates at all levels of management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field of study
  • 5+ years of website management experience
