POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President, Supply Chain is responsible for mastery of all aspects of the supply chain and will hold executive responsibility for each of these functions across the enterprise. A key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the VP, Supply Chain will deliver strategic direction, planning, alignment, execution, growth integration, and work towards continuous improvement across the global enterprise-wide supply chain.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leads the materials management group, the transportation team and other SC related personnel in the planning, execution, reporting and strategic activities within the Supply Chain.
- Work across the enterprise as a subject matter expert on all areas of supply chain management uncovering opportunities, providing insights and recommendations for improvement to the Chief Operating Officer, SVP, Operations and Executive leadership team.
- Develops supply chain strategies that support and meet company strategy, company performance objectives, and customer expectations
- Works closely with the cross-functional leadership to ensure that systems, people and processes are all aligned for success.
- Assures the enterprise-wide supply chain is properly aligned to produce and deliver products and materials across the globe.
- Develops and maintains effective communication strategies to keep appropriate stakeholders informed.
- Demonstrates understanding of supply chain, economic and supplier community conditions developing sound decisions for the company.
- Provides oversight, direction, and process improvement across all of the company’s 3PL providers in the USA and in the Dominican Republic.
- Proactively pursues knowledge of and applies industry leading practices in areas of responsibility from inside and outside the company.
- Maintains and ensures delivery of core supply chain and support services metrics in terms of cost and service.
- Minimizes company supply chain risk and maintains compliance in all areas.
- In partnership with Human Resources, identifies and develops talent within the organization and sources outside talent when needed.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field of study. Master degree preferred.
- 10+ years experience in a relevant role requiring supply chain management, strategic planning, and operations management experience.
- Well-rounded supply chain background including transportation, 3PL management, supplier relationships strategic procurement management.
- Prior experience building team and strategic partnerships.
- Collaborates and communicates across the enterprise to provide senior supply chain leadership and process/performance improvements, as appropriate.
- Must be willing and able to travel up to 20%, as business dictates.
- Prior experience with ERPs. NetSuite Preferred
