POSITION SUMMARY
The Vice President, eCommerce will be responsible for developing, managing, and evolving eCommerce for our client. This position will drive revenue, brand engagement and a best-in-class omnichannel consumer experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead eCommerce short-term and long-term planning and budgeting
- Establish clear KPIs for all eCommerce initiatives
- Implement metrics to measure and improve customer acquisition, conversion, average order size and lifetime value are imperative for success
- Develop an ROI model for eCommerce
- Implement effective SEO strategies – prioritize programs with the objective of moving consumers from awareness – to conversion – and ultimately to loyalty
- Drive articulation of site architecture, user experience, and business requirements, partnering with IT, external vendors, and marketing and innovation teams to implement and continually improve each area to deliver business results and a seamless omnichannel experience
- Partner with marketing team to drive email campaigns that maximize the business across the consumer’s digital experience
- Institute data-driven, forecasting, planning, and reporting processes to maximize site navigation to drive increased gross margin as eCommerce scales and grows
- Engage and manage external agencies and their budgets in a cost-effective manner
- Design and develop a high-performance team; focus on execution and results
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field required; MBA preferred
- 7+ years experience in both small and large eCommerce operating environments
- Strong knowledge of eCommerce levers and metrics to drive revenue and achieve profitability
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a broad knowledge of management practices and good business analysis/project management skills
- Experience managing teams and leading cross-functional groups
- Excellent business communication skills; both written and verbal
- Ability and confidence to make tough decisions
- Strong financial acumen
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with a wide range of audiences
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook)
- Travel required up to 20%
