POSITION SUMMARY

As the Vice President of Business Development for our client, your role is to lead business development activities including building relationships with some of the largest enterprises in the world and web3 dApps alike. To be effective, you will apply your business acumen and blockchain expertise when identifying, engaging and supporting Hedera ecosystem opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the business development plan in collaboration with the Product and Marketing teams
  • Identify short- and long-term new opportunities in line with our client’s strategic priorities and a deep understanding of market trends
  • Collaborate with the Hedera ecosystem to identify and generate new revenue opportunities for our client
  • Building and codifying an operational process to capture and prioritize activities based on revenue potential
  • Developing a Business Development growth plan based on revenue forecasts; recruiting and managing a first-class business development team
  • Driving Hedera network utilization from enterprises and dApps by sourcing and closing new projects and support the delivery teams
  • Recruiting leading global enterprises and institutions as Hedera Governing Council members

KEY QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

The Vice President of Business Development should leverage his or her knowledge of the blockchain industry and network to identify and close revenue generating opportunities. Required skills and experience include:

  • Consulting firm experience, strong business acumen, strategic thinking and an ability to build and articulate business cases
  • Experience managing a business development team
  • Blockchain/Crypto business dev experience required
  • Experience selling into the enterprise C-suite and navigating enterprise sales cycles
  • Knowledge in at least one of the three following blockchain topics: tokenization, sustainability, customer engagement
  • Good understanding of the blockchain layer 1 market
  • Ability to work globally across cultures
  • Ability to travel globally
  • Ability to effectively collaborate within the company and across organizations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working for a level 1 blockchain technology
  • Deep knowledge on specific industry areas impacted by blockchain
  • Work experience building blockchain based solutions
  • Background in product management
