As a Senior Software Engineer on our client’s Cloud Platform team, you will have the opportunity to interface between native device code and our client’s proprietary platform APIs. The ideal candidate will have experience developing mobile network based applications in C++ with a deep understanding of lower level operating system architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop native SDKs designed for our client’s hardware (AR/VR wearable tech) that interfaces with their Cloud Service APIs.
- Support overall engineering effort of the Cloud organization.
- Work closely with the key stakeholders and developers using the native SDKs.
- Write elegant, maintainable, reusable code, leveraging test driven principles to develop high quality applications.
- Create test plans and testing strategies for native code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and other technical issues.
- Be a mentor and subject matter expert within the company and developer community.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years proficient experience working on software products with a focus on networked applications and communication with cloud-based APIs.
- Experience developing against Android and Linux platforms.
- Expert level C/C++.
- Extensive experience in C++ API design and SDK architecture.
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and debugging skills.
- Strong communication and team collaboration skills.
- Strong mobile software architecture knowledge.
- Experience in both functional and automated testing.
- Experience working with C++ Boost Libraries a plus.
- Experience with OpenGL and game engines a plus.
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
