POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr Pricing and Profitability Manager is responsible for the strategic direction, development & management of the corporate pricing process of three route to markets including Direct, Web-Less and Retail.
- This position directs all aspects of pricing, trade ups, families and ladders.
- This position directly manages internal analysts and consultants that report into the roll.
- This position has broad decision-making authority within policy guidelines.
- The position is responsible for the assisting in the management pricing from division down to the SKU level.
- This position leads the pricing strategy and tactics for all divisions and must approve all price changes from the teams.
- This position also maintains competitive pricing databases and insights.
- This position will be responsible for maintaining the pricing systems and in turn will need advanced computer science skills to maintain the application.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership with pricing and performance analysis and insight to incorporate effective strategies by evaluating overall pricing and promo offerings to ensure competitiveness and maximum margin performance.
- Manage the pricing system with for the pricing team and ensure accurate transaction of data and process.
- Partner with internal departments to develop and implement recommendations for margin management process and strategy.
- Develop and maintain strategic competitive tables to ensure accurate and competitive product comparison for pricing strategy.
- Provide reporting to senior leadership with key performance indicators to highlights areas of improvement.
- Select, direct and develop staff, including providing ongoing training and performance management.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 7 years in pricing, merchandising, or financial management with 2 – 3 years’ experience in managing teams that support internal customers
- Bachelors degree in Finance, Analytics, or related business discipline. Masters preferred.
- Advanced VBA with experience in Access and Excel. Applicant must be experienced with User Forms, ADODB connection strings, Arrays, Record Sets, and Scripting Dictionaries, Filesystem Objects, and R1C1
- Advanced SQL skills including Analytical Functions, Temp and Volatile tables, and nested queries
- Advanced Excel skill including Sumifs, named ranges, drop down lists, pivot tables, and vlookups
- Advanced Access experience building or maintaining relational databases.
- Applicant must be experienced with indexing, key constraints, and automation through VBA modules
- Written and verbal communication skills with ability to convey information with field locations and senior management
