POSITION SUMMARY
Our client, a major player in the global personal and professional care space, is searching for a Senior level Consumer Insights candidate to lead custom quantitative and qualitative primary research that is actionable to marketing, product development, sales and senior management.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deploy consumer insights to drive business decisions and impact the bottom line for product development, communications, and concept design to grow retail sales. Support sales and marketing teams on strategic presentations, business planning and general research requests.
- Utilize sound methodologies and cost-effective solutions, including full internal implementation to drive the optimal solution and outcome. Must be comfortable with all phases of research including questionnaire design, tabulation, analysis, reporting and presentation.
- Develop qualitative / quantitative solutions to best meet business objectives. Manage and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Champion and socialize learning with partners and throughout the organization to extend consumer understanding well beyond the insights function (e.g., marketing, product development, retailers, sales, customer service, retention, ad agencies, etc.).
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, mathematics, or marketing research (Masters considered an advantage).
- 5+ years of market research and consumer research experience working with consumer-packaged goods brands.
- Experience in all key phases of customer market research including questionnaire development, deployment and response monitoring, analysis and presentation of results including key insights.
- Experience with various data collection methods (qualitative and quantitative methods).
- Experience with cross-tabulation portals and/or analytical software (e.g. SPSS, SAS, R) required.
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills and able to adapt to any audience and/or situation.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and deliver results in a timely manner.
- Must be a strong user of market research platforms such as Survey Monkey, along with Microsoft Suite of products including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Able to navigate numerous platforms and easily adapt to the integration of new platforms into work product
- Manage home field testing program.
- Knowledge of NPD research platform a plus.
