POSITION SUMMARY
The Sr. Director of eCommerce Marketplaces is accountable for the overall profitability & growth of the company’s domestic eCommerce platform across all eCommerce marketplaces. The Sr. Director understands, monitors, and drives improvement in the P&L of eCommerce as a business unit. Provide direction and oversee the continuous improvement of the online user experience across a range of product features including site navigation, search, checkout and the mobile experience.
KEY ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct responsibility for the consolidated eCommerce marketplace P&L including Amazon, Jet, Ebay and any new domestic marketplace expansions
- Lead the creation and execution of the strategic vision and plan in terms of revenue, margin and EBITDA
- Manage the paid search and affiliate marketing channels and spend to drive growth across all points of distribution
- Develop and execute the product road map and optimization process for multiple eCommerce marketplaces including product life cycle management, benchmarking, test and learn and ongoing optimization
- Lead the selection and coordination of eCommerce merchandise buys in partnership with the GMM/DMMs for the chain
- Identify and implement marketplace growth strategies including category white space opportunities and exclusive offerings
- Manage and optimize all marketing activities and spend related to demand generation on the Amazon platform including Sponsored Products and Amazon Advertising opportunities
- Responsible for leveraging Amazon’s reach in order to enhance the our client’s brand and accelerate growth
- Grow, manage and develop a team of digital professionals to optimize and execute the digital growth strategy
- Partner and improve all processes related to supply chain including FBA segmentation and operational improves around seller fulfilled shipments
KEY EXPERIENCE and REQUIREMENTS
- 10+ years progressive digital marketing, online merchandising, eCommerce experience required
- 8+ years in a leadership role with 8+ figure P&L responsibility
- Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred
- Proven ability to drive digital revenue growth and demand generation
- Experience with Google Analytics or other digital marketing analytics providers is a plus
- 3rd party market places including Amazon, Jet, Ebay and Wal-Mart experience required
- Amazon Seller Central experience is required, Channel Advisor experience is a plus
- High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
- Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
- Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
- Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented
- Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
- Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key aspects of the job required
