POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is a multi-brand omni-channel retailer of home decor products. They sell products such as vases, decorative branches, artificial flowers, supplies, and accessories to consumer and business customers through owned websites, third-party marketplaces, and wholesale.
The Head of eCommerce will be responsible for leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the entire business, including each functional department: marketing, channel management, fulfillment, inventory management, and purchasing.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
We’re looking for an ambitious self-starter, who is interested in leading a small company into a high growth phase. The company has proven products with a long history of sales, despite poor inventory management, minimal marketing, and inefficient operations. You will be responsible for tripling the revenue within the next 3-5 years, while maintaining a healthy profit margin. When successful, you will be rewarded handsomely.
- LMA – leadership, management, accountability for the entire business
- Strategy – determine long-term revenue plan for the business, including determining which products to invest in, where to sell products, pricing, how to market products
- Management – manage and develop employees and contractors to achieve amazing results – set and drive performance against agreed upon KPIs
- Marketing and Sales – establish marketing campaigns in support of direct-to-consumer and drive the sales performance of the e-commerce platform and marketplaces (Amazon, Wayfair, etc.);
- Operationalize – develop and document systems and processes to ensure ongoing success of the business, with an emphasis on maximizing efficiency and profitability – work closely with demand planning and warehousing teams in order to ensure smooth order fulfillment
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Prior P&L responsibility required.
- Strong experience in managing diverse teams of employees and contractors required.
- Strong experience in establishing, driving, and growing ecommerce channels
- Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
- Microsoft Excel expertise preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to leverage data and analytics to drive actionable insights & decisions.
- Highly goal-oriented and excellent communication skills.
- Open minded, curious and a strong problem solver, with incredible attention to detail.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities to meet revenue targets.
