POSITION SUMMARY
Our client, a major player in food, fuel, and shopping convenience, is expanding its assortment from physical footprints to endless aisles courtesy of eCommerce. This role will develop the strategy to target future top sellers through relevant acquisition channels, be responsible for sales pipelines, driving the financial performance, growth, and design a solid seller value proposition that will motivate sellers to enroll our marketplace. Also, be responsible for creating ways to offer self-service and self-learning platforms for sellers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop the plan to target potential sellers, existing vendors, and new, through relevant acquisition channels
- Negotiate and close sellers with a mastered sales pitch. Understands all of the company’s service offerings and can communicate them
- Develop a training plan for new sellers, as automated and self-service as possible. Finds creative solutions to sellers’ problems
- Work cross-functionally with retail, category, marketing, product, sales, insights and analysts, legal, and PR to deliver high-quality channel management and programs
- Develop mechanisms, processes, and measurement of all channels to understand what is working and what needs improvement across channels
- Provide regular updates (daily, weekly, monthly) on performance. Conduct monthly and quarterly business reviews and annual resource planning.
- Develop relationships with new partners and maintain relationships with existing partners
- Achieve and consistently exceed seller acquisition and growth goals
- Collaborate with the eCommerce Director on goals, planning, and forecasting
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree and 4+ years of experience in eCommerce with a focus on consumer package goods (CPG) Sales or Marketing (Digital, Shopper, Trade, or Brand Marketing), Management Consulting, Agency, or Supplier
- Strong communications skills; articulate, robust writing, speaking and presentation-building skills, strong interpersonal skills, and solid cross functional skills
- eCommerce management experience with specific contribution to the development of an 8 to 10-figure (revenue) marketplace
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Strong teamwork skills; ability to assist with projects and work with interdepartmental functions to achieve project completion in a smooth and timely manner
- Strong self-starter and be able to work without daily guidance
- Ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
