POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is an e-commerce company leading the charge in innovation and style in the consumer textile industry. They are a team of highly motivated, creative people who love to work with a purpose and have fun doing it. Into this environment, they are looking to hire an experienced e-commerce executive to carry the brand’s momentum in the home furnishings space across the global e-commerce landscape.
KEY OBJECTIVES and RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop cutting edge digital roadmaps and team to execute a best-in-class consumer experience across all touchpoints; dot com, mobile, direct-to-consumer, and eTail.
- Lead site and marketplace merchandising, user experience and help further develop digital teams
- Align technology strategy with marketing and digital initiatives to grow online and mobile capabilities.
- Curate and manage the pipeline of innovative ideas, owning the operational rhythm to expose concepts to the senior leadership team.
- Monitor performance and partner with buying team to develop financial strategies to achieve plans both in-season & pre-season.
- Work with cross-functional, cross channel teams to drive prioritized initiatives from strategy creation through proof of concept phases. Participate in pilot, rollouts, and implementations on an as-needed basis.
- Drive development across multiple teams, business units, and phases, aligning business opportunities with the appropriate, cost-effective investment of financial resources in IT systems and resources, including staffing, sourcing, purchasing, and in-house and outsourced development.
- Works closely with and manages strategic vendor partner relationships.
- Create a dynamic, high-performance culture and recruit, retain, and grow talent.
- Ensure brand consistency and presence on all digital products from planning to design/build/test to a successful launch.
- Develop superior user-focused digital products to drive business growth.
- Understand and map the current state of business processes supporting the customer life cycle.
- Build and develop product design and leadership talent with the business acumen and technical capability to deliver world-class products, differentiated customer experiences, strategic partnerships, and sustainable ecosystems.
- Provide leadership through setting the strategy, establishing outcome-driven frameworks, aligning priorities, and managing operating mechanisms that drive a very efficient and efficient process design and development organization.
- Continuously create and evolve the go-to-market plans, develop cross-functional partnerships to establish a rigorous focus on process efficiency, business effectiveness, and product innovation.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years’ experience in direct-to-consumer e-commerce and/or etail
- Experience establishing and managing omnichannel e-commerce programs and partnerships with retailers and marketplaces
- Serve as P&L owner
- Experience running in agile or scrum development models
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Entrepreneurial, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a strong work ethic.
- Experience managing UX/Digital Creative functions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate complicated concepts and recommended courses of action engage diverse audiences and influence senior executives.
- Ability to think strategically, drive for results, build a high-performance organization, continuously drive innovation and inspire the organization to achieve and exceed its objectives
- Thorough understanding of consumer audience segments.
- Strong project management skills and ability to complete projects on time
- Strong problem-solving skills with the capacity to translate analytic data into strategic ideas
- Must be able to multi-task, be flexible and perform in a fast-paced environment
