ROLE SUMMARY

The Director of Multi-Channel eCommerce is responsible for developing short-term and long-term growth plans for both B2B and B2C digital business to increase online sales and profitability.   This role is responsible for the overall performance of the multipurpose website, eCommerce marketplaces, digital retail partnerships, consumer online conversion, and positive online user experience.   This role will provide strategic leadership and oversee day-to-day development, implementation, and analysis of all web-related sales and initiatives.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and successfully execute an innovative multi-channel eCommerce sales strategy to drive growth in terms of customer acquisition, revenue, and profitability.
  • Establish company presence and sustainable revenue streams on select eCommerce marketplace platforms.
  • Expand and improve partnerships with existing online retail partners.
  • Leverage deep subject matter expertise and strong communication and presentation skills to articulate both revolutionary and evolutionary ideas to a variety of audiences including technical or non-technical C-level executives, business owners, and large on-line and off-line retailers.
  • Be able to demonstrate effective leadership and execution of the vision as it relates to offerings, programs and solutions.  Ability to analyze and make critical decisions with minimum data and demonstrated ability to course correct efforts/activities in a dynamic environment.
  • Develop KPI’s and strategies to drive eCommerce department and present to internal and external partners.
  • Meet and exceed all revenue goals and targets on a monthly, quarterly, annual basis.
  • Develop lasting account relationships with .com prospects
  • Management of on-site and off-site inventory eCommerce fulfillment activities, as well as staff and outside vendors/agencies.
  • Partner closely with the Marketing, Technology, and Operations teams to execute key programs and initiatives.
  • Optimize online navigation, online product selection, and online merchandising based on quantifiable ROI, data and business analysis.
  • Maximize cross selling opportunities within commerce business
  • Lead projects while also coaching team on how to execute programs in such a way as to maximize time, resources, and budget.
  • Team Development- Lead and develop team of web, marketing automation, and Technology professionals.
  • Vendor and Tool Selection- Identify, recommend, and develop strategic partnerships with external vendors and agencies.
  • Marketing Synchronization: Coordinate operations in marketing to drive sales, reporting, and provide support for stakeholders.
  • eCommerce: Build infrastructure and processes for multi-channel eCommerce and manage ongoing operations.
  • Database Management: Drive marketing database strategy; develop tools and practices that mine customer and point of sale information to identify revenue opportunities.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Provide senior management with reporting and actively monitor and analyze marketing initiatives, campaign ROI, customer acquisition and conversion.
  • Web Analytics: Leverage web analytics, competitive analyses, usability findings, and best practice studies to develop actionable initiatives, tactics and promotions that drive business objectives.
  • Digital Brand: Oversees and manages all digital branding

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of hands on experience managing multi-channel online businesses, with demonstrated success in leading online business, marketing, and analytical programs.
  • Prior experience establishing go-to-market launch of brands and businesses across relevant eCommerce marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, etc.
  • In depth understanding of web technologies and best practices, including those relating to e-commerce, digital marketing, digital content management, and online fulfillment.
  • Leadership, technical expertise, financial acumen, and strategic planning capabilities.
  • Experience managing multiple digital channels (such as owned website, marketplaces, search engines, social media, display ads, email and mobile).
  • Experience with SEM/SEO, shopping comparison, data feeds, and direct response display advertising.
