POSITION SUMMARY
As Director, Digital Industrial Operations, you will create and drive the digital industrial operations framework around manufacturing operations, fulfillment, transportation and the future of the North American digital supply chain strategy.
You will be responsible for creating the multi-year roadmap that will ensure manufacturing and end-to-end supply chain capabilities are built in accordance with business priorities to match productivity and service level expectations. The Director, Digital Industrial Operations leads both the development in coordination with the Global team, as well as the tactical execution of the strategy.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop North American digital strategies and priorities for Industrial Operations and Supply Chain by harmonizing software, hardware, connectors, and technologies.
- Supports and aligns with the Global Digital strategy and priorities for Industrial Operations and Supply Chain.
- Lead cross-functional analysis of current operational processes and identify capabilities needed in order to meet future state capabilities and maintain a healthy digital business.
- Direct a team of Digital Project Managers for Industrial Operations and Supply Chain.
- Lead and guide the pilot projects coming from Open Innovation process, such as wearable devices, exoskeletons, smart automation, tracking systems, etc.
- Deals and interacts with Startups, Innovators, SMEs to scout and evaluate emerging innovative solutions.
- Implement Business Analytics and Business Intelligence using real time and near real time data collection strategies.
- Identify digital applications creating value add for manufacturing and supply chain by reducing costs and improving services.
- Support the development and integration of Consensus Demand Planning; ERP; MES; CMMS, etc.
- Support 3D and 2D simulation projects in alignment with Sector and Product Line Manufacturing Engineering teams.
- Cooperate with ME Product Lines and Sector ME teams to facilitate the implementation of the digital manufacturing strategy.
- Assure alignment of activities and resource allocation with IT Organization.
KEY EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree in Engineering or Operations/Business Management; Graduate degree preferred (MS, MBA)
- Progressive experience designing and managing digital manufacturing and supply chain operations
- Experience leading teams towards results
- Cross-functional project management experience
- Experience with MES (Manufacturing Execution System), knowledge of Apriso solution considered a plus.
- Digital industrial/retail experience preferred
- Experience working in manufacturing, distribution and/or transportation
- Previous experience developing strategic direction and leading / implementing digital projects
- Knowledge of manufacturing and supply chain management systems
- Experience with, and commitment to, lean manufacturing and supply chain concepts
- A passion for connecting data and making business conclusions and recommendations
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong experience in remote management & virtual collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including development and delivery of presentations to C-Levels
- Self-motivated, hands-on leader with a willingness to deliver tactical execution of strategy to deliver results
- Proven ability to handle ambiguity in a fast-paced, constantly evolving work environment
