Our client is a major player in the digital entertainment vertical and they are looking for an experienced and uniquely qualified Director of Digital Marketing for the Latin America region.

The Digital Marketing Director, Latin America will be responsible for driving new subscriber acquisition via online marketing throughout Latin America. The region has one of the highest growth-rates of broadband households and streaming demand and is critically important to the success of our client’s global expansion.

This person will play a vital role in defining the company’s presence across all aspects of digital marketing including the optimal media mix and measurement/optimization techniques for the business in the region. This role will lead the LatAm Digital Marketing team and report to VP of Marketing for Latin America.

KEY OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES

{Acquisition & Brand Building}

  • Define and implement acquisition strategy for the region
  • Develop and activate digital campaigns for the brand and its properties in the region

{Media Planning & Buying}

  • Create and update digital media plans across each country.
  • Determine optimal Reach and Frequency goals of campaigns.
  • Liaise with publishers/agencies and evaluate new media proposals and opportunities.
  • Negotiate rates for all plans.
  • Work with vendors to implement Programmatic media buying in the region.
  • Manage the digital marketing budget and forecast for digital channels (i.e. display, SEM, video, mobile, tablets, etc) per country.
  • Liaise with Finance and Accounting to reconcile forecast vs actuals.

{Digital Campaign Management}

  • Define Quarterly goals and design digital strategies to maximize returns.
  • Collaborate in the development of Creative briefs.

{Creative, Reporting & Media Optimization}

  • Establish creative A/B Test plans.
  • Establish the impression thresholds for statistically significant results.
  • Adjust the ad frequency weighting per ad group per placement.
  • Based on media and publisher level LTV analysis, allocate budget to best performing placements.
  • Optimize all performance and brand campaigns based on agreed upon success metrics (ROI, Branding, Etc.).
  • Evaluate performance of media and creative placements.
  • Provide strategic insight into creative and campaign performance based on yield, CTR, and conversion rate.

KEY QUALIFICATION & REQUIREMENTS

  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese required.
  • 10 years of Digital Marketing & Media experience
  • Understanding of digital media advertising in Latin America.
  • Knowledge of SEM, Programmatic buying, RTB, etc.
  • Experience managing highly motivated direct reports in an environment that embraces individual momentum rather than process driven group thinking.
  • Team leadership skills.
  • Detail oriented, self-starter with a positive attitude.
  • Must be analytically savvy and able to glean actionable insights from large amounts of data.
  • Previous experience in direct response marketing for a consumer subscription service is a plus.
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or communications from an accredited university. Graduate degree preferred.
