POSITION SUMMARY
Our client is a fast-growing and well-respected digital agency with a focus on providing digital marketing, media, and analytics solutions to global non-profits as they strive to acquire new donors and increase fundraising through data-driven digital campaigns.
The Digital Account Director is a problem solver and strategic thinker who is comfortable managing client relationships and delivering results in context of a fast-paced, creative environment. Candidates should have a blend of client services, digital advertising, and project management experience.
S/he will have experience working directly with clients to design, execute, analyze, and optimize paid direct response advertising campaigns. The ideal candidate will also possess the hands-on experience to lead those campaigns across various distribution platforms and reporting systems, and will excel at extrapolating and presenting actionable insights from various data sets.
KEY ROLE OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Client Relationship / Account Management
- Serve as primary daily client contact for 2 – 3 large and mid-sized accounts.
- Establish oneself as a trusted, go-to resource for the assigned clients. In doing so, consistently demonstrate expertise and display calm, control, and confidence when interacting with agency accounts.
- Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly updates, performance reports, and budget reforecasts.
- Manage client engagements, set program expectations, ensure delivery of outcomes and, in doing so, strengthen and expand existing client relationships.
Paid Media Campaign Planning, Set-Up and Execution
- Work closely with assigned accounts to discover and define specific client needs, business objectives, challenges, opportunities, KPIs and desired deliverables as related to paid media.
- Own process and work with internal team members and/or external vendors to plan campaigns, and manage paid search, display, social, and retargeting campaigns.
- Create monthly client media budgets and leverage tracking tools to monitor spend and outcomes.
- Own efforts to identify, procure, place, and test campaign tracking and performance measurement technologies.
Project / Delivery Management
- Lead projects, maintain feedback loops, and coordinate internal and external team members in order to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery of campaigns / programs.
- Facilitate timely delivery of services and deliverables to clients, including creative briefs, testing strategies, campaign plans, and related performance reporting.
Success Measurement / Analytics
- Leverage aggregated data and analytical tools to measure results in context of objectives, extrapolate actionable insights, and make recommendations for optimization of outcomes.
- Work with clients to establish benchmarks and set target measures of effectiveness (metrics) as related to direct response paid media.
- Develop and deploy testing plans for digital media buys, ad units and content in an effort to optimize paid media campaign results / ROI.
- Create quarterly program review presentations for each client in conjunction with Data Analyst and Senior Management.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years’ experience managing client relationships as account manager or director with direct responsibility for annual client billings exceeding $300k.
- 3+ years’ verifiable, hands-on experience planning and executing digital marketing campaigns with a specific focus on Display, Search, and/or Social (FB) advertising is required. Google Ads certification preferred.
- Experience with the following analytics, visualization, and reporting tools strongly preferred: Advanced Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.), Google Analytics (GAIQ certified), Google Experiments, Facebook Analytics, Tableau, Domo, SAS, and/or SQL.
- Experience (analysis, reporting, optimization) with the following types of digital media platforms is strongly preferred: display (banner ads), search (Google, Yahoo!/Bing), social (Facebook, Twitter), among others.
- The ideal candidate will be results-oriented and capable of quickly transitioning from big picture digital strategy design to tactical execution of campaigns and detailed project management.
- Must demonstrate outstanding written and verbal communications skills, paired with the ability to organize your work and continuously manage competing priorities.
- Must be an independent worker and self-starter with outstanding creative, project management, analytical, and organizational skills as well as ability to succeed in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Must be skilled in the operation of variety of software programs and productivity tools including Microsoft Word, Excel (pivot tables, v-lookup, etc.), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Native or professional fluency in Spanish + a solid understanding of Hispanic-American audiences and culture in context of marketing is a big plus.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is required.
