INTRODUCTION
Our client seeks an accomplished Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) Engineer to join their leading-edge research and engineering, design and development team in Houston, TX. As an AI/ML Engineer, you work closely with development teams to ensure accurate integration of artificial intelligence/machine learning models into functioning platforms. You will contribute to application testing and provide customer focus to produce high quality products and mission-critical capabilities globally.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- As an integrated member of a high performing research and development team, you will focus on development, validation, and demonstration of intelligent agent technologies and capabilities to support mission-critical capabilities for autonomous operations in dynamic environments.
- Develop innovative and creative AI / ML solutions leveraging Python, Java, Julia (TensorFlow), and/or Lisp.
- Test and debug software on multiple technologies.
- Plan and execute complex and challenging technical projects and maintain state-of-the-art technical expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science and software programming.
- Leverage experience in algorithm development, prototype system development and prototype software implementation on hardware platforms to aid in the design, build and implementation of AI solutions for our proof of concepts and experiments.
- Work to shape and drive our client’s AI strategic thinking and thought leadership. Build and develop our client’s internal and external networks with AI experts, including AI vendors, the military and academia.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or related field from an accredited university.
- 10+ years overall experience in software engineering.
- 3+ years experience in applicable AI/ML domains.
- 2+ years of experience with Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistical Models, and Natural Language Processing.
- Experience in designing, building or implementing AI business solutions is essential.
- Demonstrable expertise in complex Python and Java programming.
- Experience with TensorFlow, Keras, MongoDB, Hadoop, Hive, Spark.
- Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Linux, and SQL relational-databases (e.g., MySQL).
- Proficiency in Go (aka Golang), WebSockets, JSON, XML, UML2, and Windows preferred.
- Demonstrable understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms & Object-Oriented design concepts.
- Be proficient in content extraction from graphics and machine learning with small data as well as agent development and symbolic knowledge representation and reasoning.
