As part of the broader Supply Chain IT Data & Analytics Product Line Organization, this role is responsible for creating the vision, shaping the overall strategy, and leading the identification and implementation of state-of-the-art Advanced Analytics capabilities within the Supply Chain enterprise, enabling its transformation to a Digital Supply Chain.

The person in this role will partner with senior Supply Chain, Technology leaders, Business Product Owners, and the Technology Services stakeholders to create strategy and rapidly deliver solutions that accelerate business value realization. He/she will leverage current and emerging technologies in big data management, real-time analytics, natural language processing, predictive modeling, neural networks, and AI-enabled autonomous systems (not an exhaustive list), to solve our Global Supply Chain problems, and bring creative solutions to these needs.
  • Setting the vision and creating and executing a technology strategy for Advanced Analytics in Supply Chain, including but not limited to:
    • Self-service analytics models and solutions (i.e. “democratization of analytics”)
    • End-to-end real time supply chain visibility and predictive analytics
    • End-to-end prescriptive analytics
    • IIoT and “edge” analytics
    • Scalable, platform-based AI/Machine Learning capabilities
  • Engineering the services, technologies, platforms in support of advanced analytics capabilities for Supply Chain
  • Driving operational standardization and consistency of technologies and platforms deployed globally that can meet business objectives and service levels.
  • Identifying and evaluating (e.g. through PoCs) innovative advanced analytics solution for Supply Chain (e.g. machine learning, cognitive analytics, predictive analytics, etc.)
  • Applying advanced analytics such as machine learning and artificial intelligence for signal detection, pattern recognition, computational learning, cognitive and predictive decision support algorithms to solve complex problems.
  • Driving rapid implementation and adoption of new innovative advanced analytics solutions across all domains of supply chain to provide strategic insights to our business to drive performance, growth and competitive advantage.
  • Launching and running advanced analytics ‘data experiments’ to test out innovative ideas/concepts (in partnership with SC business partners, 3rd party vendors and/or IT AS Data Labs team)
  • Managing technology solutions lifecycle
  • Partnering with and supporting the SC Data Science team with data and tools needs
  • Fostering and maintaining a robust collaboration / thought-leader network within and outside of the global organization to shape and advance the vision of advanced analytics in supply chain
  • Attracting highly skilled talent and building advanced analytics competencies in the SC Technology organization


  • A Bachelor’s degree in a Statistics, Math, Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field (e.g. operations research) with minimum of 7 years of experience with business analytics and data visualization or an advanced degree (MS, PhD) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence, or a similar discipline is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Leadership/Managerial experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of advanced analytics concepts and technologies and strong passion for technology innovation in this space (Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, etc…) required.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership (internally and/or externally) in advanced analytics concepts, models, and technology.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Big Data tools and technologies required (e.g. Hadoop, Apache Big Data tools (Spark, Impala, Hive, etc.), Amazon Web Services Big Data tools, Teradata)
  • Demonstrated working experience with advanced analytics, statistical analysis and predictive modelling
  • Demonstrated experience with advanced analytical tools (eg. R, Machine learning, NLP, simulation & optimization) to deliver insights with positive business impact
  • Proven experience deploying business analytics tools, business intelligence and visualization solutions in direct support of business functions
  • Demonstrated Business Relationship management and experience partnering with business partners to develop plans and deliver solutions
  • Project Management experience and Agile software development experience
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership and shape investments in technology capabilities to advance a strategy.
  • Effectively solving complex business problems and presenting recommendations to senior management
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative analysis in a clear, precise, and actionable manner required
  • Must have a strong aptitude for empirical research to answer challenging questions with data
  • Supply Chain knowledge/experience required; experience in the Medical Devices/Pharmaceutical/Healthcare industries preferred
  • Experience working with external partners, customers and data providers preferred
  • Experience with unstructured Big Data preferred
  • Experience with Mobile Analytics preferred
  • This position will require up to 25% domestic and international travel
